OUR HISTORY

I left Africa in 2012, when I was resettled in Australia. For ten years, I did not return. But the burden for the African Church never left my heart.

I was deeply concerned about the distortion and commercialisation of the Gospel. I often prayed that God would raise people, like the Apostle Paul in Galatians, who would courageously call the Church back to the true Gospel.

Eventually, God challenged me with James 4:17:

“If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them.”

I realised I could not keep praying for someone else to do what God was also asking me to do.

In 2022, I returned to Africa for the first time since leaving. My intention was simple: to explore whether starting Veritas Gospel was even possible.

I had no sponsor, no large budget, and no established network. I simply went with the burden God had placed on my heart.

What happened surprised me.

It felt as though God had already prepared the field. Pastors and church leaders were hungry for conversations about the true Gospel, biblical discipleship, and Christlike leadership—even when some of these messages challenged teachings and practices that had become popular.

That first journey became the beginning of Veritas Gospel.

Since then, we have continued returning every year. The conferences have grown, the number of leaders attending continues to increase, and the message is reaching new communities across East Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We still have no permanent sponsor, although we continue to pray for individuals and organisations who will believe in this vision and partner with us.

We are also still developing the structures needed for long-term growth and are seeking opportunities to work under or alongside an established Christian ministry in Australia that shares our values and vision.

Veritas Gospel did not begin because everything was ready.

We started because God said go.

And since 2022, one lesson has remained with us:

Start with what you have.

Go where God sends you.

Trust Him with what you don't have.
